
From Athlete to Coach — And the Reality of Midlife
Since approaching 40 and maintaining a public profile, I’ve openly shared my journey—from my upbringing as an athlete to coaching everyone from gym first-timers to Olympic and World champions.
What resonates most with my community are the stories from middle-aged men who relate to the trials and tribulations I’ve faced. It’s become clear that many men in this stage of life are struggling under immense pressures: relationship challenges, family and parenting stresses, declining physical health, financial strains, career demands, low energy, reduced testosterone levels, and mental health battles like anxiety, depression, and isolation.


A Wake-Up Call Beyond the Gym
From 2020–2024, I stepped away from the fitness industry to work in Fire & Rescue—a demanding fly-in-fly-out role with 12-hour shifts, 7 days straight, often in remote mining camps. Previously surrounded by elite athletes and motivated individuals seeking positive change, this new environment opened my eyes to the true state of many men’s physical and mental health.
Feeling a deep sense of responsibility—with my education, experience, and platform—I’ve returned to fitness, this time focused on serving my fellow men. I’m sharing the proven protocols I’ve used to manage my own mental health through purposeful dedication to becoming a more capable man.
